An old mountain cottage amidst nature! You will find yourself in a small piece of paradise, with great views and close to a small village: Pico de Regalados and a bit further the charming village Vila Verde.

The house is situated on the hill of a mountain; with great views. The house is fully equipped but if you need something; please ask and we will try to supply. So, You can choose: stay around the house and wonder around in the garden, make a nice meal, walk along the hill and enjoy the view from the terraces. Or go out and discover the nearest river beaches with restaurant or bar, charming villages with a diversity of cafe's/bars, supermarkets, nice little shops and good restaurants. And of course there is more to see and do!

We are living on the hill and looking down towards the valley. At day already beautiful and at night more beautiful because of the lights, twinkling stars and all the nocturnal animals taking care of that they are heard! It is amusing and nature at its best. You can walk into the mountains and discover the wild nature, such as: horses (who will stay at distance), all kinds of birds, insects, plants, a small lake and a mountain source with drinkable water. In the surroundings you have al kinds of activities. For those who like to be active: hiking, canoeing, biking etc. For those who like history; all kinds of old little villages and museums to see nearby. And for those who like to enjoy the quietness; our garden and simply the surroundings.

We are near big villages such as: Braga (15 min by car), Guimarães (30min) and Viana do Castelo with several beaches. Ponte de Lima, Ponte de Barca both situated on a river are also worth a visit. The Thursday market at Barcelos is a must see but there is much more to see in the Minho region. If you want to go to the coast it takes you approx. 45 minutes. There are many beaches waiting for you to sup, surf, relax and enjoy the sun and sea. Porto is 1 hour by car.

If you like the tranquillity but also don't want to be far from a buzzing village or city? This is the place. And if you are looking for good food...well.... this is the place too! We can arrange a delicious Tabua (snack board) for 18 euro with all sorts of regional snacks and nice Vinho Verde. Indulge yourself with our out of the ordinary diner (25 per person) or the fabulous, delicious and surprising breakfasts! (9 per person). All to order extra and we will serve on the spot at the cottage. Pets are welcome but only on request, so please ask first if this is possible.

Cottage is self catering and fully equipped (minimum of two nights): €58/night Breakfast serving is optional for an additional €8,00 per person. Breakfast is various and out of the ordinary. We can also serve a delicious 3 course meal for €21,00 per person. We can also arrange a Tábua Regional (€17,50) with products of the region and homemade! Such as cheeses, sausages, chorizo, little tapas (petiscos) and a very good wine from the region. Or if you prefer it can also be a Sangria (non-alcohol) or homemade fresh drinks. Arrival time is flexible but please contact us if you will arrive late in the evening. If so, we can also make you dinner on request. In case you bring a pet with you; there is an additional fee of €15,00. Cleaning cost of the house is an additional fee of €30,00.
