Semi-detached studio-apartment located in a quiet corner of a small village near Sertã surrounded by rural land. The recently rebuilt fully furnished studio-apartment has full insulation, central heating, shared washing machine and a covered terrace and is suitable for a single person or a couple. Well suited to someone wanting a short-term, comfortable home while searching for their own property to buy in central Portugal.

The one double-bed room has an en-suite bathroom with an orthopaedic toilet seat if needed. Solar panel water heating, supplemented by a pellet burner central heating system with radiators for the cooler months. The double glazed, full length kitchen-lounge window-doors give direct access to the covered terrace sheltered by a lovely orange tree from which guests are welcome to help themselves to the fruit in the season. Electric stove-oven, fridge-freezer, toaster, Italian coffee maker. electric kettle, tea-towels, fully equipped kitchen-lounge, bed linen and towels. Fibre-optics, hi-speed Internet, TV with many channels, self-catering, shared washing machine, off-street car park. The owners live on the property and have been living in the Beira region for over 20 years and know the central and Serra da Estrela area very well and are fluent in English, Dutch, German and Portuguese languages.

Set in a small rural village surrounded with oak, pine and other forests and olive groves. Spring water is available if required from an excellent source about 2km from the house.

We are 5km by sealed roads from Sertã where all shopping facilities are available. Sertã has many restaurants and cafes and a magnificent river beach for summer swimming and walks. Coimbra, Tomar, Abrantes and Castelo Branco are all within an hours drive from the location. Cabril Lake, a well known swimming place near Pedrógão Grande, is 15 min by car. Also 15 min away is Vila de Rei, the geographic centre of Portugal with a museum of Geology.

The apartment is not suitable for children or pets. Smokers are requested to do so outdoors only. It is available for rent on a weekly basis. The price is 250€ per week. We are open to shorter periods at a price to be discussed with the clients.
