Arrochela Farm

Hi my name is Owen i'm 51 years old. I came to Portugal with my wife a year ago, To try and go self sufficient and live off the land. We found a beautiful small place in Arrochela near Pedrogão Pequeno. Near Sertã. It has lots of fruit trees and olives, vines and a lot of potential.

Alas. I'm now here on my own. So you can imagine the amount of things I have to do. As well as experimenting with different growing methods, I'd like help with organizing a vegetable plots around the garden. I have a bee hives that need tending to, general care and maintenance of the fruit trees and plants. help with any household jobs, that need to be finished. As my work load has more than doubled. So help needed. Asap. I'm looking for volunteers to work, up to 5 hours a day. The garden needs extensive weeding and re shaping. looking at the house, getting a touch of paint. I am wanting to create a few more vegetable plots. fruit collecting when ready etc.

Accommodation I have 2 double bedroom and 2 singles bedrooms. I can accommodate and feed. There is a lounge on the same floor for you to relax in. I have limited internet access 100GB per month, to use sparingly. There are 2 composting toilets on the property.

Arrochela is an area surrounded with all that mother nature has provided. Just a short walk away, from the Cabril lake. With stunning far reaching views. You can fish or sail on the lake. Or if your a swimmer, there's a challenge for you. There are many places of interest easily accessible Via the IC8. With inland River beaches close by, And the coast just over an hour away. There is plenty to do in your free time. I enjoy and am sure you will too. The clean air wildlife, and the spectacular views. That this area has to offer.
