Charming holiday home less than 200m from the river beach with lovely views across the river to the mountains beyond. The house is in the small market town of Coja and sleeps 6/7

This attractive holiday home is on the banks of the Rio Alva in Coja within easy walking distance to the centre where there are cafes, shops restaurants, etc. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to sleep 6 people and an extra pull out bed for an extra person. The living room is on the first floor with access to the large upstairs terrace. There is Portuguese satellite TV ands Wi Fi internet connection with a log burner for the winter months. The kitchen is on the ground floor in the old wine cellar retaining the original stone walls and wood beams and is fully fitted out with modern equipment such as a dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, pots and pans. The large refectory dining table comfortably seats large groups for happy family gatherings or partying with friends. Outside there is a garden with a BBQ and outdoor furniture and a beautiful view across the river to the mountains.

The popular river beach is 200m from the house and you can hire canoes there through the summer. The town has a small monthly market and various summer activities and there are more markets and attractions within a 25 km radius. The Serra da Estrela is on the doorstep with Seia approximately 40 km away. The amazing countryside is made up of green valleys, forests and rivers with the mountains ever present, a peaceful and relaxing place to come and unwind!

The main district town of Arganil is 12 km away with a weekly market and more cafes and restaurants to try out! Coimbra, once the capital of Portugal, is 60 km away with ancient cobbled streets and the oldest library in Portugal.

The house was renovated 10 years ago to make a comfortable self catering holiday property for guests to stay and discover the beautiful surrounding area.

Winter €480 per week, €70 per night Spring €580 per week, €85 per night Summer €680 per week, €100 per night Autumn €580 per week, €85 per night Christmas and Easter €650 per week, €100 per night Prices per week include cleaning, electricity, water and gas as well as the TV/Internet, all bedding and towels. Additional €30 per stay for cleaning expenses is added to nightly stays of less than 1 week. Based on 6 people sharing with an extra €8 per night for an extra person. A deposit of 20% is required on confirmation of a booking that will be returned if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival after which the deposit is non refundable.
