GuesthouseThis lovely riverside cottage is set approx 100 metres from the river Ceira, which is perfect for wild swimming or just chilling. It is a very peaceful spot, you are more likely to see a kingfisher or otter than another person. We are 2km from Vila Nova do Ceira and 5km from the ancient town of Góis.

We have extensive knowledge of the area and are happy to share with you the best swimming spots, walking/cycling tracks in the Góis area.
There is an open plan mezzanine bedroom with a double bed and a nice office space. Downstairs is an open plan lounge kitchen area with cooker and fridge. Crockery and linen/towels are included. There is a shower room with toilet. Outside is a patio with hammock and chairs and also a washing machine. A path leads down to the river about 100 metres away, where you can swim/chill in privacy.

1 km away is a little village with an olde world Portuguese style shop that sells a bit of everything. Also a lively river beach with bar. There are tracks leading into the mountains within 5 mins walk.

CountrysideRiversideMountainThe larger town of Góis is 5 km away that also has a river bar and is popular for swimming in the beautiful clear mountain water. There is also a supermarket, a medical centre and other stores.
Góis is famous for it's Motorbike festival held 3rd week in August. Also they host an authentic festival earlier in the month and an Art festival in July.There are numerous wild swimming and walking trails throughout the area that we can point out for you.
The city of Coimbra is about 45 km away, this university city is very typical Portuguese with narrow alleyways of shops/restaurants and lively evening bars. It is set on the river Mondego and there are river cruises daily. A little further away at Conimbriga there are roman ruins and also a Palace set in amazing forests full of ancient trees brought back from around the globe by monks.
