near by there is incredible walking trails in the forest and up the hillls, lousa is the centre for downhill biking BTT at Louzanpark, they have just renovated the castelo above lousa, the surrounding near the castle are breathtaking, 5 mins away is a natural zoo set in the forest, great family day out, there are 5 rivers beaches near by and 3 huge outdoor pools, combra is the nearest city, a very historic place to visit, and we highly recommend a day kayaking down the river Mondego, the apartment is set in a very quiet location, and being on the terrace gives great views over the countryside, everybody comments about the stars at night a spectacular view, a truly great place to visit for outdoor people,

We are situated in a village called Portela vale de Maceira, which is 4 km from Lousa centre, we are situated down a drive of the EN555, Louzanpark 2 klms away zoo park 5 klms away river beaches 1o min drive combra 35 min drive coast 50 mins drive coninbriga (large roman site) 30 mins away Penela castle 40 mins drive lousa castle 10 min drive

The apartment is special because of the surrounding the peace and quiet, easy access to main places, a great friendly cafe near by, the view at night of the sky, a great place to relax ,chill and wind down,

70 euros a night minimum 2 nights. From 300 / 450 euros a week. Ask for monthly quote depends on number of persons and time of year, but would say a monthly rental of 700 euros a month, plus a little towards the electric.
