If you are looking for a restful stay, in a beautiful location this house is for you. Surrounded by mountains, with hiking trails and mountain bike tracks, close to Odeleite and the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve.

This house is a typical Algarve house, newly renovated, with the white & blue facades, outdoor patio & breath-taking views. Nestled near the picturesque village of Odeleite this house has everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is a bright and airy space, which accommodates 2 people (or 2 adults and 2 children as the sofa is a fold out double bed). The house consists of an open plan living room and dining room. It has a modern kitchen fully equipped, with everything you need and an oven and a hob. It also boasts a bright airy bedroom with a Super King size bed and plenty of storage and a bathroom with a large shower and washing machine. This house also has a flat roof for sunbathing in the daytime or stargazing at night. It has air conditioning and heating, and good internet wi-fi speed. Outside, there is a private patio with table, chairs, reclining chairs and parasol where you can soak up the sunshine in the morning or afternoon. The view from the front of the house is beautiful and relaxing with your morning coffee underneath the shade of the tree is truly blissful. Private free parking. There is a Traditional Portuguese Restaurant a short walk up the road - Albertos - who serve delicious food, coffee and beverages. The breadman comes daily into the village square with fresh bread. The fish man also visits weekly. A stay in my house provides a wonderful experience for nature and bird lovers. There are so many walks and cycle paths on the doorstep for you to enjoy a ramble in the scenic countryside. The walk to the village of Almada De Ouro down the hill is spectacular with the view of the Guadiana River in the distance.

Odeleite is a parish (freguesia) in the municipality (concelho) of Castro Marim. The hamlet is situated in the interior of the eastern Algarve on the river known as Ribeira de Odeleite. The Ribeira de Odeleite is dammed near Odeleite by the Barragem de Odeleite - it a beautiful spot for sunrise and sunsets. A few kilometres to the east the Ribeira de Odeleite flows into the Rio Guadiana at a place called Foz de Odeleite. There are amazing walks along the river and in the mountains and surrounding areas where you can be guided by the route markings but only interrupted by the sounds and smells of nature.

My house is quietly situated in the village of Alcaria - 5km to Odeleite, close to the typical towns of Castro Marim (15 km) or Cacela Velha (20 km). The famous golf courses of Castro Marim Monte Rei or Quinta do Vale are close by. In 15 minutes drive you will arrive at some of the most spectacular Algarve beaches - Praia do Cabeço, the long flat sandy beach - protected by dunes, stretches between Monte Gordo and Praia Verde in front of a pine forest. Praia da Alagoa or Praia de Cacela Velha are also beautiful beaches worth a visit. For most visitors, the attraction of the Sapal of Castro Marim is the large number of birds that can be seen, including storks, herons, wild ducks, sandpipers & the ever-popular flamingos. Great place for photos! Also, the beautiful & old streets of Castro Marim, which connect the church, the castle & the fortress, are lined with typical houses whose simplicity is characteristic of the architecture of the Algarve. Faro Airport is a 50 minute drive. The picturesque town of Tavira is 25 minutes away and Ilha De Tavira is well worth a visit as is Barill Beach. This beautiful home is in a tranquil setting and is a beautiful haven for those who wish to be in nature but not too far from everything you need.

Bills are not included (electricity, water & internet). There is a solar panel for the hot water so in good weather hot water for showers & washing dishes has no cost. There is also a wooden burning stove - wood is not supplied. A security deposit is required with the booking. Apologies, no pets are not allowed.
