Autumn and winter special interest garden tours. In the many gardens of the Quinta das Mil Flores, each season has its special charm and seasonal delights for culinary, medicinal and cosmetic uses. Even in winter, the Wedding Rose Gardens offers hundreds of lovely, headily perfumed blossoms . In September, the Quinta Gardens are open from Wednesday to Saturday afternoons for individuals and groups, and by appointment for special interest groups and Serpentine Labyrinth Associaçao members from October 2019 to Easter 2020. Autumn is also the time for homemaking our morangero grape juice and to take our olives to be cold pressed in the old moulin nearby, and gathering lavender to make little bouquets and anti-moth cushions for sale to visitors. It is also a time to enjoy the brilliant autumn colors in the Arboretum and the first lovely camellias which flower gaily throughout the winter.
