The Farm

Beautifully renovated, fully furnished 2-bedroom country house surrounded by nature. It provides all the comforts of modern living and is perfect for remote work. It’s a peaceful and private retreat ideal for slowing down and enjoying the good life. The house can accommodate 4 (+2) and features a spacious veranda with comfortable seating, an outdoor dining area as well as fast fibre WiFi and plenty of work corners designed with remote working in mind. The mindful interiors have been created using natural materials wherever possible and sustainably sourced and often up-cycled pieces.

The farm has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate 4 (+2) guests. The main bedroom has a double bed and a mezzanine that can fit an additional 2 people if needed. The second bedroom is a mezzanine above the open plan main living space and can be arranged as a double or 2 single beds accordingly. The living room, kitchen, dining area and second bedroom are open-plan and very cosy in the winter, with the wood burner in the heart of the space. The patio is roofed and has comfortable seating as well as a dining area. The kitchen is equipped with an American-style fridge and freezer, a gas hob, an electric oven, a coffee machine, and other small appliances. There is plenty of glassware and crockery for you to use too. The house is fully furnished and also has enough storage capacity should you be bringing a lot of your personal belongings. The bathroom has a gas-powered shower, sink, toilet and washing machine. The solar panel helps keep electricity bills low.

Situated on a 6,800m² property, full of olive and a big variety of fruit trees. There is plenty of space to grow your own vegetables, herbs and flowers. There are a few alfresco seating corners in the outdoor areas to be able to enjoy the sun. The house doesn’t have immediate neighbours but does not feel isolated. There is plenty of space on the land for children to roam and play.

Nestled in the fertile valleys of Central Portugal, less than 10min drive away from the village of Dornes on the magnificent Zêzere River with its beautiful swimming spots, as well as the cities of Tomar (25min) and Coimbra (35min). The nearest towns, which have weekly markets, a few supermarkets and pharmacies are Ferreira do Zêzere (15min) and Cabaços (5min).

Peaceful and safe space giving you the opportunity to reconnect with nature whilst having all comforts of a cosy and natural home. We don't use chemicals on our land and you're welcome to grow your own organic food during your stay.

Ideally one year rental (minimum 6 months). A deposit amount is to be agreed upon with the future tenants. Included: all produce from the trees and land. Not included: wood for the wood burner, house bills, gas* *The hot water and the hob both run off a gas bottle. A couple cooking at home and using the shower daily would normally use approximately one bottle (~€35) of gas per month. We work with a lovely local cleaning lady who offers a fortnightly 3-hour clean for €25. We are happy to put you in touch if you're interested.
