The Alentejo is packed with historical villages, fortresses, endless horizons, delicious traditional food and dozens of wineries where one can buy and/or taste wines. It is 115 km from Lisbon, 24 km from Évora and close, or relatively close, to lots of interesting sites, lakes, and others.
